A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR ISAAC - 1.29.12 When storms rage around you, it is ok to cry out to God. He hears your cries even if He does not answer when and how you want. When the waters overwhelm you, you may feel abandoned but take heart in knowing what God’s word says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will restore your soul and lead you down paths of righteousness... Though you walk through the valley of shadow of death, you should fear no evil because I am with you. My rod and my staff will comfort you (Ps 23:4).”Therefore, stand firm and weather your storms.“For the trying of faith worketh patience, so let Patience have her perfect work...” (Jm. 1:3) try not to be anxious for immediate results from God. Sometimes He does not answer when and how you want. During this time He is working perseverance in your eternal character, refining you in the furnace of affliction. Can you endure the storm? God is with you to carry you through. In Christ,

MAY 6, 2011 First off, we wish a very Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers out there! We thank you for everything you have done for us and love you more than you could ever know. Be sure to do something nice for your mother this weekend, whether it's cooking her a nice meal or treating her to a day of shopping. Let her know she is appreciated and loved. MAY 4, 2011 A message from Israel: Shalom Mission Eben Ezer Family, Praise the Lord for a safe journey to the Holy Land. We are preparing for our first full day of touring in Tel Aviv, Jaffa (famous biblical city--Jonah, Peter in Acts 10), and Philistine cities such as Gad (Goliath's hometown), Ashkelon, and Ashdod. We're hoping to upload at least one video per day on Coba's youtube account so that you can track our steps across the Holy Land. If you'd like to read in Scripture where we will be today see 1 Samuel 4-17, Jonah, and Acts 9-10. Here is a prayer we prayed before our meals last night and this morning: "Barukh Ata Adonai Eloheinu Melekh Ha'olam hamotsi lechem min ha-aretz." = Blessed are you Lord our God, King of the universe, who brings forth bread from the earth. The church is still open and there will still be service Friday night, but no one will be in our front office on that day. APRIL 15, 2011 As you read the bulletin and Pastor's Note for this week, keep in mind that Palm Sunday is this weekend and Easter is only a few days away! We hope to see you this Sunday and next with all your loved ones. Also, we have a few events going on this weekend that we would like to remind you of: 1)Tomorrow, April 16th, is our Mission Kidz Car Wash. All proceeds go to our new pre-school that will be opening this fall. 2) Also going on tomorrow is our Spring Jesus Thing. Be sure to bring your friends and family for food, fun, and live performances by some truly incredible people. 3) Lastly, as you know, Pastor Isaac will be leaving to Israel soon! DECEMBER 23, 2010 One of the distinguishing features of the Christmas story is biblical prophecy, prediction and fulfillment. So the prophet Isaiah had a great vision of God’s future for His people. The mighty prophecy of Isaiah has this future in mind. 800 yrs. before the birth of our Christ, Isaiah wrote, “the people that walked in darkness have seen a great light…” (Isaiah 9:2). A shaft of this light was seen by the three wise men as they followed the Christmas star to Bethlehem. The star guided them to the greatest light of all shining from a manger. The three kings came to worship the King of all creation, and they laid their gifts at the Baby’s side (Matthew 2:11). So also today do wise people still worship Him at Christmas. May you have a very Merry Christmas: from the Board, every Pastor, the administration and staff of MEFC, “Merry Christmas, one and all.” DECEMBER 10, 2010 We would like to Thank everyone who came out this past Sunday to our festival.
